1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Cropix at cropix.app ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
2. Who Can Use Cropix
You must be at least 13 years old to use Cropix. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you are using Cropix on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these terms.
3. Description of Service
Cropix is a browser-based image resizing and metadata removal tool for content creators. The Service allows you to resize images to preset dimensions for various social media and creator platforms. All image processing occurs locally in your browser. Your images are never uploaded to or stored on our servers.
4. Account Tiers and Usage Limits
Cropix offers three tiers of access:
- Anonymous use: Up to 8 image crops without creating an account. No personal information required.
- Free account: Up to 20 image crops per calendar month. Requires creating a free account with a valid email address.
- Premium subscription: Unlimited image crops for $9.99 per month. Requires a valid payment method.
Usage limits reset at the beginning of each calendar month. Unused crops do not carry over to the following month. We reserve the right to adjust pricing and limits with reasonable notice to existing users.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Premium subscriptions are billed monthly at $9.99 through Stripe, our payment processor. Your subscription renews automatically each month until cancelled. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain premium access until that date.
6. Refund Policy
All sales are final. We do not offer refunds for subscription payments. If you believe you have been charged in error, contact us at scottaiworkshop@gmail.com and we will review your case. You may cancel your subscription at any time to prevent future charges.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Cropix only for lawful purposes. You may not use the Service to:
- Process images you do not have the right to use or distribute
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Attempt to circumvent usage limits or account restrictions
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service
- Use automated tools or bots to access the Service
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms without notice.
8. Your Content
You retain full ownership of all images you process through Cropix. Because all processing occurs locally in your browser and no images are transmitted to our servers, we have no access to your content and make no claim over it. You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the rights to process and distribute any images you use with the Service.
9. Intellectual Property
The Cropix name, logo, website design, and software are owned by Cropix and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the Service without our written permission. Nothing in these terms grants you any rights to our intellectual property beyond what is necessary to use the Service as intended.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Cropix is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cropix and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. In no event shall our total liability to you exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitations on implied warranties or liability, so these limitations may not apply to you.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cropix and its operators from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.
13. Third-Party Services
Cropix uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Clerk — account creation and authentication
- Stripe — payment processing
- Vercel — website hosting and infrastructure
Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third-party providers.
14. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Cropix at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. If you wish to close your account, contact us at scottaiworkshop@gmail.com.
15. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the United States. If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
16. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will make reasonable efforts to notify active subscribers by email. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
